In her memory

About Claire Martin

“Health Care with a Gentle Touch.”

Claire Martin, APRN, worked tirelessly to promote her profession, NHNPA, and the role of nurse practitioners as independent healthcare providers. Her work in the Lakes Region reflected both professional determination and a deeply compassionate approach to patient care.

A colleague wrote that each goal Claire achieved and each obstacle she overcame was “another step closer to a truly independent role within the health care community.”

After Claire’s unexpected passing in 2001, NHNPA created the Claire Martin Memorial Fund to honor her commitment to nursing and support individuals pursuing careers in advanced practice nursing.
