NHNPA Annual Awards

Each year, NHNPA celebrates APRNs, advocates, and leaders whose clinical excellence, service, advocacy, mentorship, and professional contributions strengthen APRN practice and improve healthcare in New Hampshire.

The Awards

Award Categories

Nominate a person whose work reflects excellence, leadership, advocacy, or sustained service to advanced practice nursing.

NP of the Year

Recognizes an APRN member in good standing who has made a significant contribution to the nurse practitioner role at the state or national level through clinical practice, legislative advocacy, education, or research.

Advocate of the Year

Recognizes an APRN or non-APRN who has increased awareness and recognition of nurse practitioners through leadership, precepting, policy, politics, research, education, or community affairs.

Lifetime of Service

Recognizes an NP whose professional career reflects significant contributions to the role, scope, and development of nurse practitioners in New Hampshire.

Speak to the nominee’s impact

Nominations may come from colleagues, peers, employers, students, community partners, or others who know the nominee’s work and can describe their contributions.

  • Supporting documents, when helpful

  • Two key achievements that highlight the nominee’s impact

Strong nominations are specific. Include examples showing how the nominee has advanced APRN practice, supported NHNPA’s mission, strengthened healthcare in New Hampshire, or served patients, students, colleagues, or communities.

Nominations are reviewed according to the award category and the nominee’s documented contributions. Include enough detail for the review committee to understand the nominee’s qualifications, accomplishments, and impact.
